The rotor of this debarker being fixed, it is necessary to centre the log in front of the machine. To do this, it is fed by a balancing conveyor and the log is then maintained by a set of drive rollers with combined spikes in the form of a triangle articulated at 120 ° with an independent motorization. This design allows debarking up to 6m in length with high speeds necessary to feed the production volumes of modern canter sawmill lines.
There are three rotor diameters for this debarker: 450, 650 and 800mm. The minimum log diameter is 80mm and minimum length is 1.6m.
The speeds range are from 20 to 90m / min depending on the type of wood and logs diameters. All rotors can be equipped with four or five arms with an interchangeable tungsten carbide knife set in pressure by air springs.
As the name suggests, this debarker is equipped with a rotor that moves vertically and is centered automatically according to the diameter of the log.
The wood is transported on fixed caterpillar chains and is held by rollers mounted on boggie moved vertically by hydraulic cylinders. All the mechanical movements are managed by a PLC which processes the optical and ultrasonic sensors signals located in the machine.
Due to its compact size, this machine can efficiently bark both short and long logs, even crooked. We manufacture two different diameters for the floating rotor: 1000 and 1100mm, the minimum log diameter is 120mm and the minimum length is 1.3m.
The rotor is equipped with five arms with an interchangeable tungsten carbide knife put in pressure by air springs, with possibility to emergency remote opening arms in option. Depending on the type of wood and the diameters of the logs, the debarking speeds can be around 10-15 to 40m/min.
